But this may drag on: After the market closed, the Treasury pushed its estimate for when the US will run out of money to pay its bills to June 5.

Goldman Sachs has lost another trader to a hedge fund firm, with Rick Vaatsra leaving the bank’s London office this month, to join multi-strategy major Millennium Management as a senior portfolio manager based in London. 
Taconic Capital Advisors, an $11bn New York- and London-based hedge fund firm focused on event-driven, multi strategy investments, has appointed Nate Kempner, a principal and co-chair of the firm’s Investment Committee, as co-CIO. 
Christine O’Brien, the head of investment stewardship at activist investment firm Elliott Management, has resigned after almost 12 years with the firm, according to a report by Reuters, citing two unnamed sources familiar with the matter. 
Blaine Hurty has been promoted to managing director and head of capital introduction at Clear Street, a New York-based independent, non-bank prime broker, having originally joined the company’s cap intro team as a managing director in October 2022. 
Broadridge, a provider of trading solutions for banks, broker-dealers and other financial institutions, has added a highly experienced industry professional to its sales team in Northern Europe, who will be focused on identifying new client opportunities. 
TS Imagine, a global, cross-asset provider of trading, portfolio, and risk management solutions for financial institutions, has made two key additions to its Asia Pacific team in Hong Kong – Stephanie Cheung and An Hoong.
